Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin said he is taking responsibility for the coalition's defeat and is ready to resign from his post if that is what the component parties want.
He added that PN admits defeat in the state election and the coalition accepts the decision made by Johor voters who want BN to lead the state.
PN had contested in all 56 seats but managed to only win three – Maharani, Endau and Bukit Kepong.
