The ongoing Umno general assembly 2022 has passed a resolution to not have the party’s top two positions open for contest in its upcoming election.

However, Umno vice-president Mohamed Khaled Nordin said this does not mean that democracy in the party is dead.

Speaking to reporters this evening, he said other posts in the party can still be contested.
