In a surprise move today 47 Certified Integrity Officers (CeIOs) were removed from their posts today.
These are officers who are embedded in ministries and government agencies and are certified by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to detect and weed out corrupt sectors in their respective deployments.
According to the New Straits Times the Certified Integrity Officers were replaced with in-house integrity officers who report to the respective heads of the organisations.
