After speculations rose that a political coup could have been in the works to topple the Selangor State Government, BN Strategic Communications Director Abdul Rahman Dahlan said that there is no reason to resort to a political coup at this point.
This is in response to speculation by Amanah Youth that BN may be attempting to topple the opposition led Selangor State Government with Pakatan Harapan assemblypersons defecting to UMNO.
Yesterday UMNO Information Chief Annuar Musa said that more Harapan politicians will be jumping ship. When asked about this, Rahman Dahlan said that there is no attempt to secure defections.
