Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today debunked a viral message of an alleged scam in which individuals purporting to be Health Ministry officers arrived at a person's home in a ministry van on the pretext of conducting door-to-door tests.
Taking to Facebook today, the Health Ministry clarified the purported scam.
"The accusation where the ministry's van was used in a scam was fake. The van belongs to the ministry, and the staff were the members of the ministry," said the ministry.
The ministry pointed out the district health office would contact members of the public before going to their houses in future.
