[KiniNews] Umno secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki has urged the government not to dismiss public sentiment surrounding the recent cabinet reshuffle.

Asyraf highlighted several questions raised by the public over the new cabinet line-up, which he said should not be taken lightly.

He said one of the concerns involved the appointment of Hannah Yeoh, a Chinese DAP leader, as Minister of the Federal Territories, together with Lo Su Fui, a Chinese representative from GRS, as Deputy Minister.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Umno supreme council member Puad Zarkashi took a sarcastic swipe at newly appointed Deputy Higher Education Minister Adam Adli, daring him to push for the abolition of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), now that he holds the portfolio.

Puad told Adam to "speak up loudly" during post-cabinet meetings at the Higher Education Ministry, to demand the loan scheme’s abolition, adding that only then would his past activism appear worthwhile.
