#KiniNews: Anwar ‘schools’ Muhyiddin, Ismail Sabri a ‘concerned elder'

[KiniNews] Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim contended that Muhyiddin Yassin, as former prime minister, should have known better not to issue statements that can inflame voter sentiments.

In his reply to Muhyiddin’s defence against his defamation suit, Pakatan Harapan chairperson Anwar claimed this is even more so when the Perikatan Nasional chairperson made a statement during an election campaign at Padang Serai in the run-up to the 15th general election late last year.

The Tambun MP alleged that Muhyiddin’s statement was malicious as the latter should have
known that the former in Parliament years ago had rebutted the allegations of him (Anwar) receiving RM15 million for serving as Selangor’s economic adviser.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said he only commented about the friction between Umno and DAP as an "elder" who does not want to see clashes between the two parties publicised.

He advised the parties to only fight behind closed doors where outsiders cannot see them.
