[KiniNews] Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein need not resign after receiving a fine for violating Covid-19 protocols.

Speaking to reporters in Kuala Lumpur today, Ismail Sabri said if everyone had to resign for receiving such fines, then no one would be available for work.

"Not a crime. Nothing to do with crime. The Health Ministry has issued a compound.

"What's important is that the government does not play favourites. Whoever breaches Covid-19 protocols will be compounded," he said.
