The Health Ministry reported a record 11,618 new Covid-19 cases today, primarily driven by Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan.

Selangor recorded over 5,051 new cases and KL set a record high of 1,749 new cases.

Meanwhile, Damansara MP Tony Pua has called on Health Minister Dr Adham Baba to resign and take responsibility for the "disastrous escalation" of the Covid-19 pandemic that occurred despite a lockdown that has been in place since May 16.
