[KiniNews] The Health Ministry reported 24,599 new Covid-19 cases, a record high partly contributed by the worsening situation beyond the Klang Valley.

Three states hit record highs today, all outside the Klang Valley. They are Sabah, Penang and Johor.

A record-high of 393 deaths have been recorded today, surpassing the previous record of 360 deaths on August 8.

This brings the toll of confirmed Covid-19 deaths to 15,211 people.
