[KiniNews] Deputy Inspector-General of Police Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay has dismissed caretaker menteri besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor's claim that police had plotted his arrest since six months ago in an alleged attempt to undermine his credibility.
In a press conference in Bukit Aman today, Ayob highlighted the chronology of events in Sanusi's case and dismissed claims of a conspiracy.
He said the claims were unfounded as action was taken following a sequence of events.
"We have given warnings, even the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has issued a decree, and so if there continue to be individuals who have the tendency to insult the royal institution, stern action will be taken."
"And when stern action is taken, don't make up stories. Be careful. We will take action regardless of the person's background," he said.
