Malaysia recorded 38 new Covid-19 cases, the majority of which are Malaysians returning from abroad.
Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 26 of the cases were imported while 12 were local transmissions.
From the imported cases, 20 were Malaysians returning from Egypt, four from Indonesia and two from the United Kingdom.
Meanwhile, Dr Noor Hisham urged Malaysians to not stigmatise foreign nationals following a spike in cases involving non-Malaysians last week.
