#KiniNews: Govt under Muhyiddin spent over RM38 million ‘repairing’ RM24 million building

[KiniNews] As most Malaysians struggle with the health and economic effects of the Covid-19 pandemic,, the previous government under Muhyiddin Yassin spent RM38.5 million renovating the PM’s official residence Seri Perdana.

According to Najib Abdul Razak, that’s far higher than the reported RM24.17 million used to construct the building in 2000.

Outdated wiring of more than 20 years at Seri Perdana could pose a fire hazard if left unchanged, according to Muhyiddin.

Muhyiddin said the matter was among expert advice given in relation to renovations at the prime minister's official residence, aside from replacing old lighting and air conditioning systems.
