[KiniNews] Gerakan president Dominic Lau has denied being asked to leave a PAS ceramah last night. Lau reportedly said that he was not at the ceramah to speak but had arrangements for private discussions with his PAS counterpart Abdul Hadi Awang at the sidelines of the event to discuss campaign matters.
However, he said that he could not meet Hadi because the PAS president was running late and the ceramah had already begun.
Lau's response comes following a report by Malaysiakini that he was given the cold shoulder at the event.
He was not given any VIP treatment, and when PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad was being escorted on stage at the event, Penang PAS secretary Iszuree Ibrahim walked up to him and told him, “Those who are not invited, please stay (here)”.
In a video of the incident, when someone protested, Iszuree was heard saying, “Tak boleh (no you can't). You go away.”
Meanwhile, in a separate story, MIC president SA Vigneswaran has ordered the party’s machinery nationwide to go down and campaign for Pakatan Harapan in the six state elections.
Vigneswaran said this after a meeting between Anwar and MIC members at MIC's headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.
