#KiniNews: I'll reveal what KJ’s smoking, says Bung after being called 'enemy of public health'

[KiniNews] Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin has hit out against former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin who recently called him an enemy of public health for opposing the anti-smoking bill.

Bung reportedly said that he would reveal to the public just what Khairy was smoking.

"Who is KJ? He no longer has a platform, all he is is a radio announcer, and he is just a 'hantu raya'. He tabled a law that takes away the rights of the people (to smoke)," he said.

"He wants people to stop smoking but ask him… what is he smoking?" said Bung in a response to the former Rantau MP's remarks, which criticised Bung for opposing the Control of Smoking Product for Public Health Bill 2023.

According to the New Straits Times, Bung said he would reveal what Khairy was "smoking" in Parliament when the bill is tabled on June 12, saying that he would make the announcement in the Dewan Rakyat where he has immunity.

Khairy yesterday had hit out at Bung on his Instagram, labelling the latter as an "enemy of public health" for opposing the bill.
