Selena Gomez INSPIRES Wizards Co-Star To Reveal OWN Health Problem

Selena Gomez is inspiring more than just her fans lately, because now, a former Disney co-star is setting the record straight about her personal health struggles, too!
It’s been a few years since Wizards of Waverly Place, but you’ll be glad to know that Selena Gomez is STILL making an impact on her former co-stars to this day!
Soon after the news broke that Sel underwent MAJOR surgery, her former on-screen bestie, Jennifer Stone, A.K.A. Harper from Wizards of Waverly Place, took to Instagram to share a photo of the two, saying how proud she was of Selena for sharing her struggles so openly with her fans and followers. That’s why, in an interview with the International Business Times, Jennifer got candid about her own Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis, which she possibly never would have done if Selena never opened up about her kidney transplant!
When asked whether Selena played a role in her opening up about her health, Jennifer said, QUOTE, “Well, yeah, of course. It always inspires me the way people are transparent about the challenges and the things they face in their life. I feel with social media, and the digital age we live in, I feel like everyone is used to sharing their highlight reel rather than the difficult things we go through.”
But, even though Jennifer said that her diagnosis was hard for her to accept at first, since doctors told her she may have to give up her acting career and move back to Texas, she just wouldn’t accept giving up her dream.
She said, QUOTE, “Screw that, that’s not the life I want for myself and I don’t accept that, and I’m not going to let this disease tell me what I can and can’t do with my life. If I don’t want to be an actor any more, I’m going to decide that. I’m not going to let this decide for me.”
Not gonna lie… we are SO proud of the inspiring women Selena and Jennifer have become since their days on Wizards, and despite their health struggles, they’re still KILLIN’ it… don’t you think?!
