[KiniNews] MACC today confirmed that it is investigating former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Its chief commissioner Azam Baki told a press conference that orders issued by MACC to Mahathir’s sons Mokhzani and Mirzan to declare their assets were related to the probe.

“It was following this probe against him that his two sons were implicated, where we have issued notices under Section 36 of the MACC Act to the sons asking them to declare their wealth,” said Azam.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam has urged MCA to make a decision on its position in the coalition government.

This was after the BN component party decided to sit out of the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election on May 11.
