[KiniNews] Penang DAP chairperson has denied claims of hidden hands being behind the selection of candidates for the Penang polls.
In a press conference today, Chow explained that the selection of the candidates was made by a five-person committee and Penang DAP accepted the decision.
Meanwhile, in a separate story, David Marshel, who quit DAP yesterday, announced that he will be contesting in the upcoming Penang state election with the aim of preventing Lim Guan Eng from becoming chief minister again.
Marshel will vie for the Perai seat as an independent candidate.
“I will contest as an independent candidate and my campaign tagline is ‘Free Penang from Lim Guan Eng’,” Marshel told a press conference in Penang today.
