#KiniNews: Campaign ban letter is fake, says Zahid; 'Penang an independent state' -Chow tells Sanusi

[KiniNews] Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has described a letter barring four individuals from campaigning in the Nenggiri by-election as fake.
“It’s a fake letter… meaning an anonymous letter. There is no truth in it," he said.

Earlier today, Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam also hinted at possible legal action against individuals accused of slandering him on social media through the spread of the letter which included his name as among the four.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow told his counterpart in Kedah, Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor to accept that Penang is an independent state and that its position is guaranteed by the Federal Constitution.

He was responding to news reports quoting Sanusi on a research team formed by the Kedah state government procuring thousands of documents from abroad regarding the relationship between the two states.
