[KiniNews] PAS has called on Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to step down if Pakatan Harapan and BN fails in the upcoming state elections.
His statement came after Zahid challenged Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin to use the state polls as a platform to gauge the people’s support.
“The 15th general election (GE15) had proven that BN-Umno recorded the worst results in political history because they only won 30 parliamentary seats.”
“Umno only won 28 seats and this is the worst achievement by the Umno president so far,” said Khairil.
He added that PAS is confident that the turmoil within Harapan-BN, as well as the apparent weakness of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s administration, will be ‘punished’ by the people in the state elections.
