#KiniNews: PSM, Muda wants Zahid to step down as DPM; Syed Saddiq hits back at critics

[KiniNews] Muda and PSM submitted a memorandum to the Attorney-General's Chambers today with calls for them to provide a detailed explanation of the decision to grant a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) to Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in his corruption case.



They also called for the AG to recharge Zahid in court, for a clear timeline for the separation of the public prosecutor’s office from the AG and for Zahid to step down as deputy prime minster until the case is resolved.


Muda secretary-general Amir Hariri Abd Hadi Amir If their demands were not met within five working days or before Sept 18, Muda will not hesitate to take to the streets in the spirit of democracy to raise the voice of Malaysians’ disappointment.


Meanwhile, in a separate story, Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has snubbed calls from his critics urging him to vacate his seat after he quit the government bloc in Parliament.


He argued that it was not he who strayed from promises to voters in the 15th general election (GE15).
