#KiniNews: Syed Saddiq stunned by RM2.80 savings per Vellfire for ministers

[KiniNews] Muda leader Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman suspected that there was possible impropriety in the government’s decision to replace its fleet of cars for top government officials with a foreign make.

“There must be a reason. The question is, who profited? Who is the middleman? Who received commissions? We have to investigate,” he said in a video clip posted on his Facebook page.

According to the price provided by the Finance Ministry, the monthly lease of the Toyota Vellfire 2.5L is RM4,851.61 while the Proton Perdana 2.4 Premium’s lease was RM4,854.41 a month.

This translates to a saving of RM2.80 per vehicle per month.
