#KiniNews: Syed Saddiq slams govt from opposition bloc; AGs will be summoned to explain Zahid's DNAA

[KiniNews] Muda president Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman hit out at the government today on his first day in the opposition bloc of the Dewan Rakyat, following his decision to withdraw support from the unity government.

This was over the rejection to debate the emergency motion on Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's discharge not amounting to an acquittal on 47 graft charges involving Yayasan Akalbudi funds.

Syed Saddiq joined Perikatan Nasional MPs who were voicing their dissatisfaction at having the motion rejected.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Parliamentary Special Select Committee (PSSC) on Human Rights, Election and Institutional Reform chairperson William Leong said two attorneys-general will be called in to explain the decision to withdraw all 47 charges against Zahid.

This comes amid dissatisfaction and confusion among the public over the granting of a discharge not amounting to acquittal (DNAA) to Zahid in the case last Monday (Sept 4).
