[KiniNews] Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the opposition does not have the numbers to initiate a vote of no confidence in Parliament.

“For a long time, they (opposition) have not brought (a motion of no confidence). It has been a year (since the coalition government came into power). We have been waiting daily (for the motion), but it has not come.

“So we don’t think about it. I don’t think they have the strength to bring it (vote of no confidence) apart from using propaganda to deceive their supporters for them to not lose their spirits,” he said.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, Perikatan Nasional chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin has come out swinging over the accusation that the opposition had attempted to bribe the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to unseat the government.

He said those responsible for the “vile, excessive and outrageous slander” as well as those spreading it have committed a grave offence under the Sedition Act and Penal Code.
