[KiniNews] Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s brother Abdul Hakim joining PAS did not touch a raw nerve for Umno, said its supreme council member Mohd Puad Zarkashi.

Puad said this was as Hakim was not a “heavyweight” in Umno who could give PAS an advantage.

Yesterday, Hakim officially joined PAS after submitting a membership form to party president Abdul Hadi Awang at the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

Meanwhile, in a separate story, KR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh said it is inappropriate for anyone to give their own twist to the events immediately following the 2022 general election.

She said this when asked to comment on the party’s former vice-president Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin’s claims about the contest between him and Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
