Kula to bring up seven-day paternity leave with Cabinet

If all goes well, it will soon be the law for the private sector to allow paternity leave for fathers, Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran said on Wednesday after receiving an online petition organised by the Women's Aid Organisation (WAO) outside Parliament.
The petition, calling for paternity leave in the private sector to be extended from three days to seven, collected almost 40,000 signatures.
