Kylie Jenner fans are not too thrilled about her daily face-washing routine using her new Kylie Skin products, and now they’re calling her bluff on her entire KylieSkin product line.
What’s up guys, it’s your host Sussan Mourad back here on Clevver News, and I’m just gonna assume that being a celebrity is tough. They’re being watched, studied and criticized 24/7 and they honestly just can’t seem to catch a break. So you best believe that when Kylie Jenner decided to give fans a little glimpse into her daily face-washing routine, they be studying the minutes, the filters and the all-around authenticity of the entire segment.
Kylie sparked outrage yesterday in just 30-seconds… but that outrage didn’t end there… social media is still abuzz with criticism over her entire skincare line!
In the 30-second clip, Kylie applies her very own Kylie Skin “Morning and Night” face wash, but thousands of eagle-eyed fans noticed that she only washed her face for a total of 10 seconds. Not 10 minutes…
I don’t know about you guys, but by the time it takes me to scrub my face, conquer my eye makeup, and clean up the watery mess left on the bathroom counter after dripping down my arms, I’d have to restart my entire episode of Housewives. Just saying.
BUT not only were fans pissed that Kylie took 10 seconds to wash her face, they also noticed she covered up with a filter, AND there was a mound of makeup on her washcloth. Soooo was she REALLY “washing” her face…?
One fan compared her routine to Ansel Elgort’s recent slew of selfies he posted, writing QUOTE, “How Kylie Jenner acts after washing her face for 7 seconds with her new Kylie Skin face wash” and another wrote, “You washed your face for a total of 7 seconds, dried your face and FOUNDATION came off on the towel, and how are you doing a skincare routine video with a filter on?”
Although Ky’s skincare line has received tremendous praise, many other fans have dug into exactly what ingredients are really being mixed into the formulas.
Many people took to Twitter to warn fans about the danger of her products, one said, “No hate I love me some Kylie Jenner, but do your research before you buy her skin products, phenoxyethanol is probably one of the most common ingredients in A LOT of skin care that is super harmful AND any serum should have less than 5 ingredients, and most def not start with water.”
Another person pleaded with people saying: “Please guys don’t buy anything from Kylie Jenner’s skin care line I promise I’m not being a hater towards her the product genuinely sucks and it’s money you can put towards a line that gives a shit about its ingredients!”
And this user said: “Kylie Jenner is scamming y’all & imma laugh when y’all go broke on her skincare and still got f****d up skin lol”
OK, HARSH!!!
Also… people are NOT too happy about the price. This twitter user comically tweeted:
Kylie jenner: use my skincare line like me so you can have a clear skin like mine
Meanwhile kylies skincare routine:
Clearly their message is…. KylieSkin is money down the drain!
Yeah, it’s a lot to take in, but Kylie has yet to respond to the backlash, and it’s safe to say she’s currently living her best life wearing a $2,300 mini dress while checking the tire pressure on her car… yeah, unphased.
So Twitter has officially weighed in, but now I wanna hear from you guys -- have you bought any of Kylie’s products, and what did you think about her 10-second skin care routine?
