MACC has scrutinised Rosmah Mansor's medical certificate (MC) and found no issues with it, said its chief commissioner Latheefa Koya.
She said MACC was asked to verify the MC after it was produced when former premier Najib Abdul Razak's wife failed to attend the first day of her corruption trial last week.
Last Monday, lawyer Jagjit Singh had produced an MC to the court stating that his client could not be present due to cervical spondylosis, osteoarthritis of the knees and chronic adrenal insufficiency.
Lead prosecutor Gopal Sri Ram rejected the MC, noting that it was signed by a private doctor and not by a government doctor, as is required.
Jagjit later criticised MACC’s scrutiny into the MC as “intimidation” against the private doctor involved.
