Lele Pons Addresses BACKLASH Over Hair Donation Accusations

Vine star, Lele Pons is facing backlash after posting a photo claiming to have chopped off her hair with the intention of donating it, but the internet was quick to point out that the hair shown in the photo were extensions.
After being called a liar, Lele has taken down the photo and provided an explanation on Twitter.
Oftentimes when people with long hair decide to make a big chop, they choose to donate it to organizations like Locks of Love or Wigs for Kids to provide wigs for those who suffer from hair loss. In a since deleted photo on instagram, Lele Pons revealed a new short hair do standing next to a friend who was supposedly holding the hair that Lele had chopped off with the caption – “DONATED MY HAIR!!!!” But internet detectives were quick to point out that A) Lele has bleached her hair in the past and rules for donating hair clearly state that the hair can’t be color treated and B) if you look closely at the photo you can clearly see visible tracks at the top of the ponytail aka they’re extensions. It didn’t take long before the comment section of the photo was filled with lying accusations calling out Lele’s bluff. One person wrote - "Care to explain how you chopped off your 'hair' and 'donated' it @lelepons?? Last time I checked you can't donate extensions.” Another said - "Lele pons literally pretended to donate her hair when It was extensions and her hair is bleached.”
The photo has since been taken down and Lele explained herself on Twitter saying QUOTE – “To help clear any assumptions, I cut my hair with the intention of donating it. Sadly after trying, I learned charities who donate wigs don’t accept color treated hair. So I’m finding other ways to help those affected by hair loss b/c of cancer. This is still a priority for me.”
Still doesn’t explain why Lele’s friend was holding extensions rather than Lele’s hair if indeed she actually cut it, but I’ll let you guys be the judge.
