One Direction may have a long-awaited break on their minds, but that hasn’t stopped Liam Payne from whipping up a few small musical projects to end 2015 on a high note.
First Louis’ new rumored girlfriend, now Liam’s new songwriting ventures… is it just me or does 1D’s hiatus seem to be treating the boys real well?
Although Directioners are obviously missing their main men onstage, Liam Payne hasn’t given up all of his musical talents quite yet. He took to Twitter earlier this week and just in time for Christmas, to kindly gift his fans with a small taste of musical heaven AKA a new song called “The Night We Met” he helped co-write for Irish boyband Hometown with his trusty 1D cowriter Jamie Scott. Check it out:
Liam seemed very excited to share the new project with fans, writing, “Hey everyone almost Christmas check out this song I did with hometown and Jamie Scott...
The emotional love song channels true 1D hopeless romance, with some of the lyrics saying, "I wanna kiss your lips like I did back then/So take me back to the night we met/I wanna mend your heart if it's not too late/I'm gonna say the things that I couldn't say,” so this emotional track is no doubt a hit on the rise.
And this isn’t the first time members of 1D have graciously shared their genius songwriting chops with other artists. Harry Styles has been known to write songs for Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande.
So you guys, I have to ask, could these hunky Irish lads take One Direction’s place while they’re taking time off? Ok, ok, I won’t get too ahead of myself, because obviously nobody could take the place of our beloved foursome, but I want to know what you thought about Hometown’s new song with the help of Liam, so get the conversation going right down here in the comments section below.
