Malaysian Professional Film Workers Association (Profima) held a press conference today titles "Freelance Doesn't Mean Free" to issue a stern warning to local production companies against dishonoring their contracts with their film crew.
At the conference, Profima President Khir Mohd Noor made a phone call on speakerphone to the head of a local film company that has been witholding the salaries of some freelance crew members for over 7 months.
The crew lodged a report on this to Profima as well as FINAS.
