The Transport Ministry will suspend a haulier's permit temporarily pending an audit following a tragic accident involving one of their vehicles.
This was announced by Transport Minister Anthony Loke on his Facebook page today, where he also expressed his condolences to the family who suffered the loss.
"I greatly sympathise with the victim's family who suffered the loss of their first child. I have ordered the Road Transport Department and Land Public Transport Agency to take action against the driver and the firm.
"The company's permit will be suspended temporarily for an audit of all their lorries. I will not compromise with drivers and companies who endanger the public," he said.
