Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz simply laughed when asked to comment on Dr Mahathir Mohamad's remark that the latter may contest as a DAP candidate in the event Bersatu is deregistered.
ROS announced last Friday that it has given Bersatu 30 days to respond to its queries and present the necessary documents - or face deregistration.
ROS director-general Surayati Ibrahim said the notice was issued following complaints by Bersatu members and therefore the data was required to complete its investigations.
Previously, ROS told Harapan that its application could not be processed because the ROS was still awaiting a report from the Bersatu annual general meeting and the party's annual returns.
