Deputy Human Resource Minister Mahfuz Omar says the demonstration to 'celebrate' the government's decision to not ratify the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (Icerd) is waste of resources.
This comes after Gerakan Pembela Ummah secretariat chief Aminuddin Yahaya said the Dec 8 gathering at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur would not be a protest, but a celebration.
