According to KPMG Head of Indirect Taxes Lachlan Wolfers the average rate of GST in the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) countries as well as those in the Asia Pacific region is higher to that of Malaysia's.
At a press conference at the KPMG Tax Summit today, he said the 6 percent GST tax rate in Malaysia makes it favorable when compared to other countries.
