Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin believes that it would be more efficient to maintain GST --but at a lower rate -- rather than abolishing it. He was referring to Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng’s announcement that the provision of services will be taxed at 6% under the reintroduced sales and services tax (SST), while the sale of goods will incur a 10% tax.
