A man was shot dead by police after he brandished a knife and attacked at a policeman near Komtar in George Town, Penang on Friday.
George Town OCPD Asst Comm Che Zaimani Che Awang said Kpl Mohamad Hafizi Mohamed Akhir, who was on duty at the Komtar police pondok (police beat base), shot the 41-year-old man after he refused to put down the knife.
