Looks like country music is expecting a possible new star, because Maren Morris just announced she’s expecting a little bundle of boy joy.
What’s up guys, it’s Sussan Mourad back here on Clevver News, and who doesn’t love some good ol’ happy, cheerful baby news in the land of Hollywood?!
Country superstar Maren Morris announced on Tuesday that she and her husband Ryan Hurd are expecting a baby boy come 2020, so BRB, gonna go listen and ugly and happy cry to “The Bones” on repeat.
The two country lovers took to social media Tuesday to share the announcement, featuring a stunning maternity shoot that showed off Maren’s growing baby bump.
Alongside the photo, she wrote, “The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the “GIRL” headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one.”
And then came Ryan’s caption… a little more PG-13, I might add… he began with a quick joke writing, “MY BOYS CAN SWIM. BABY BOY HURD 2020! Look at her...cannot believe this life with this girl. Also, thank you George Costanza for this caption that I’ve been sitting on my entire life…”

Even more special is that the baby will seemingly be due around the couple’s second wedding anniversary in March.
And it seems as though this was something that was bound to happen as Maren put the baby fever into the universe almost exactly a year ago.
Last November, she jokingly captioned a photo of the two in Paris, writing, “gonna have your babies.”
Clearly these two wasted no time in making that dream a reality, and they couldn’t be happier. Maren also recently opened up about her relationship in an issue of Playboy, saying that marriage has helped her on a personal level.
She said, “Being married for the past year has also helped me figure out more of who I am independently. For example, my husband is very much a feminist, and I’ve never really done anything that's freaked him out. He has always been accepting. Even with Playboy, he was like, ‘That’s really hot.’”
She also gushed about how incredible it is to be with someone who is her equal, and who QUOTE, “...isn't trying to make you feel like a skank because you're proud of your body—someone who's not watering down your ideologies for patriarchal and bulls--t standards that women in country music have been locked into for the past several decades.”
Maren has come under fire in recent years due to the fact that she is so loving of her body and isn’t afraid to show it!
In 2018, Maren and Ryan clapped back at body shamers after they came for her over her clothing choices!
Maren posted this picture in June 2018, I mean the girl was feeling herself and trying to serve up as she captioned it a “Lewk!”
Okay, just stop right there… That comment is not OK.
But in brilliant clapback form Maren kindly responded and said that she is happily married and her husband doesn’t even need to ask!
Her hubs on the other hand went into full protector mode. He responded to the troll quote: “I don’t usually respond because Maren can handle herself. But I had a whole response to this based on the fact that usually only dudes leave that s--t on here but you’re a woman! Wow! Maybe even a mom, I didn’t check but I would hope no one ever said something like that to you or maybe your poor, poor daughter, who will probably grow up in a house that tells her that her own body is a bad thing. Maren isn’t naked. Leave my wife alone and go back in the hole you crawled out of."

And Maren even took it a step further to clarify her stance on showing off her body writing quote, “I refuse to ever, EVER be ashamed of the body God gave me," she writes. "I’m proud to be Irish, Native American, English ... proud of my cellulite and proud of my strong back + arms. I worked my ass off on my body the last few months, and I’m proud to show that work.”
AND that my friends is how you shut down haters with knowledge and kindness!
I can only imagine that we are going to be seeing more of Maren’s growing baby bump, so body shaming trolls, take a back seat and stay off her social media!
