The 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal and kleptocracy will be written in Malaysian history, said Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik in the Dewan Rakyat on Monday.
His remark was welcomed by other MPs when Pontian MP Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan asked Dr Maszlee how many years must pass before an event is deemed part of history.
(Note: This video was re-edited after Dr Maszlee Malik's press aide pointed out that what the minister meant was for 1MDB be written in Malaysian history, and not included in the History subject.)
