Associate Professor of University of Nottingham Malaysia, Gayathry Venkiteswaran, told reporters that her proposals to the Institutional Reform Committee include media freedom and abolition of media accreditation passes for official government functions. Gayathry presented her proposals together with Civicus Alliance researcher Josef Benedict and Article 19 Malaysia representative Nalini Elumalai during their meeting with the committee at Menara Ilham in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
