Meghan Trainor Releases a new song that is the bomb.com AND talks about body image! Get the scoop right now.
22-year-old Meghan Trainor just released a fire jam! My office roomie Danielle (yeah…2 danielle’s in one office) were listening to her new song “NO” early this morning and decided it’s reminiscent of an early 200’s Christina Aguilera song- and it’s really catchy. Take a listen:
The new song will be featured on her upcoming album titled “Thank You” Meghan revealed that the song came about in large part because of the head of her label, LA Reid. He told her that he had an album of Nice Meghan and needed her to be sassy. So she went back to the studio and told her producer QUOTE “we needed a big eff-you song, an anthem about girl power that sounded like nothing on the album…We wrote it that day.”
She also shared her album cover on Instagram writing a big thank you note to her fans, and all of the influentiual people in her life writing at the end QUOTE “This album is for YOU pre-order starts at midnight
And while the Meghan Trainor we see is confident and a role model for girls she wasn;t always that confident. But in a new interview with CBS Sunday Morning that growing up she revealed she was insecure and always wore sweatshirts to cover up her body. She said QUOTE 'I didn't want to show my arms. I didn't want to show anything, and I was just so insecure and uncomfortable.” But the confident Meghan we know is “All About That Bass” and we love it! I think everyone goes through a phase of feel;ing unsure and hopefully come out feeling more confident- but that’s definitely something that comes with age. Did you ever feel that way?
