Melbourne 'Little Italy' food tour | Lygon street's best eats

We’re in Melbourne eating up a storm over a number of weeks. Today we’re in Carlton- famous for Lygon St and known as Little Italy so it’s all about Italian eats in this one!

Melbourne is a food lover’s dream- from cheap and cheerful eats to fine dining- this city has it all. The diverse population of its people means its food culture is rich and multi-cultural. We used to call this city home so we know it pretty well. We can’t wait to share some of our favourite spots with you plus experience new eats with you along for the ride.

Market Lane Coffee, 176 Faraday St, Carlton VIC 3053. Open Monday to Saturday 7am-4pm and Sunday 8am-4pm. Flat white $6

Leonardo’s Pizza Palace, 29 Grattan St, Carlton, VIC 3053. Open Monday to Thursday 5pm-10pm, Friday and Saturday 12pm-midnight and Sunday 12pm-11pm. Pepperoni $33, Pork and Fennel Sausage $32.50, Jug of Love Shack Pale Ale $27

Pidapipo, 299 Lygon St, Carlton VIC 3053. Open Sunday to Thursday 12pm-10:30pm and Friday and Saturday 12pm-11pm. Double scoop $8.10
