Melbourne is one of the world’s greatest food cities. We used to call Melbourne home, so in this 3 part series we’re taking you to some of our favourite restaurants and eateries plus checking out some new spots with seriously great food. These videos are based in the Melbourne CBD and the inner suburbs.

What we ate and where we ate it:

Beef and pickles (plus cheese and hectic sauce), tuna melt and 1 x coffee ($41) at Hector’s Deli, 253 Coventry St, South Melbourne. Open 7 days, 7am to 3pm.

Ginger and passionfruit tart and 1 x coffee ($13.30) at Tarts Anon, 29a Gwynne St, Cremorne, Melbourne. Open 8:30am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday.

Singapore Fried Noodles, roast pork and bbq pork on rice and a plate of gai lan (Chinese broccoli) ($61.60) at Pacific Seafood BBQ House at 8/240 Victoria St, Richmond, Melbourne. Open 7 days 10:30am to 10pm

NB: We used our credit card for payments and there was always approximately a 1%-1.5% charge for doing so. The prices above include the card charge. All prices in AUD.

We’re Thomas and Sheena, food and travel fiends. We travel full time, hunting for the BEST local food in the world to showcase via our YouTube videos. Food is a window into a country's culture and one of the most exciting ways to get to know a place.

We're all about eating what and where the locals eat. You won't find food that's been created merely to be social media worthy on here- no rainbow bagels, gold leaf soft serves- just honest food that tastes incredible.

From street food to mom and pop restaurants, we want to show you the best food we find on our travels.
