Kerajaan Negeri Perak memperuntukkan sekurang-kurangnya RM20,000 bagi setiap Program Pertanian Bandar yang akan diperluaskan ke seluruh daerah.

Exco Pembangunan Luar Bandar, Perladangan, Pertanian dan Industri Makanan Perak, Datuk Mohd Zolkafly berkata, selepas projek rintis di Rumah Seri Kenangan Seri Iskandar, program itu kini diperluaskan ke Penjara Tapah dengan melibatkan tanaman tembikai.

Katanya, projek tanaman itu menggunakan kaedah fertigasi di atas tanah seluas 2.47 hektar dengan membabitkan lebih 1,500 benih pokok. -MGPerak
