Pasir Gudang MIC division chairman R Sabapathy lost his Mercedes and Proton Iswara Aeroback in a fire on Tuesday night.
Sabapathy said he was watching television before his son alerted him of the fire at around 12.20am.
Seri Alam district police chief Superintendent Jokhiri Abd Aziz told Sinar Harian that a report was made over the incident and there are no signs of foul play.
