MIC president Dr S Subramaniam has a good chance of retaining his Segamat parliament seat with a higher majority in the forthcoming 14th general elections, said its Youth chief C Sivarraajh.
"We see that our president has been working in the area for a long time.
"Based on feedback from the ground, we (MIC Youth) believe that he (Subramaniam) can easily retain the seat. That is not a problem," Sivarraajh told a press conference at the party's headquarters in Kuala Lumpur this morning.
Given Subramaniam's status as a federal minister and party president, Sivarraajh (right in photo) said MIC Youth is also confident that various "slanderous issues" played up by the opposition pact would have little impact on the voters.
