Miley Cyrus Honored at amfAR Gala & Shows Off Armpit Hair!

Miley was honored for her advocacy for the cause all while celebrating diverse gender identities, and showing off her growing armpit hair.
Miley Cyrus and Andy Cohen were honored in NYC by amfAR which is a nonprofit organization that focuses on AIDS research as well as HIV education and prevention.
Miley was joined by her mom Tish and papa Billy Ray as well as her date Tyler who Miley introduced on Instagram as a part of her #InstaPride campaign for which she has been posting photos to celebrate people that represent a variety of different gender identities. She described Tyler as a QUOTE – “queer, biracial, agender person, whose pronouns are they/them/theirs.”
The pair were all smiles on the red carpet and Miley looked awesome rocking a strapless Jeremy Scott dress with matching gloves that gave the look a touch of old Hollywood glam and had her hair in a cool half cornrowed half Elvis type deal with red accents. Funky, fun, pretty tame for Miley, but then she raised her arms and oh there’s the Miley we know. She’s still growing out her pit bush. Do you Miley.
As part of the night’s festivities, Miley also sold some of her artwork from her dirty hippy collection to raise money for amfAR including some altered painted photos of Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair Cover which sold for a whopping 69,000 dollars.
In her acceptance speech Miley took time to recognize amfAR’s founder, Elizabeth Taylor and said QUOTE – “There are so many people around the world that deserve this recognition. They've dedicated their lives to finding a cure for those living with HIV and AIDS, and they've used their voices to speak out against the brutal and unfair condemnation and the abominable stigma that comes with this disease. And by receiving this award tonight, I promise to continue to fight along … for a cure for this epidemic."
