That was our girl Millie Bobby Brown taking home the Kids Choice Award for Best actress!
We could not be prouder of this incredible young woman who used this moment in the spotlight to dedicate her win to the 17 victims of the Florida School shooting.
Millie Bobby Brown. Such an amazing young talent and honestly, more importantly in my opinion, such a wonderful human being. After being announced as one of the big winners at tonight’s KCAs on Nick, the actress stepped up to the stage clearly having a prepared speech which I loved. She thanked Nick for bringing everyone together to celebrate and for the award, but she quickly jumped in to focusing the March For Our Lives demonstrations and pointed to her fellow young people to press on and openly use her platform to spread positivity saying: OK, so there's an amazing support, love and kindness in this room right now, and I want to encourage everyone to embrace it and to pass it on.
And then she closed with this
WOW such a powerful, heart-felt and tear-jerking moment. The back of Millie’s shirt listed the 17 victims of the Florida school shooting last month. Honestly, I’m so impressed with this young lady – she really gave this moment up to shed light on an important issue and it was truly inspiring. I’m inspired.
