12 Actresses who almost played Katniss ►►
Calling all Mortal Instruments fans! listen up!
The "City of Bones" may have taken a nose dive at the boxoffice last year, but that doesn't mean that we won't be seeing the franchise being adapted again very soon.
Usually when big (and expensive movies) like The Mortal Instruments flop at the box office, all plans for a second or third movie gets shelved, and sometimes indefinitely so.
But according to The Hollywood Reporter, The Mortal Instruments legacy will live on, not on the big screen, but through a television series.
Constantin Film is the production house that's in charge of the franchise and in a statement they say that it actually makes more sense to put the story on tv versus film because of how much more of the story they can tell over time. They said "There was so much from the book that we had to leave out of the Mortal Instruments film. In the series we'll be able to go deeper and explore this world in greater detail and depth."
We have heard that production on the series will begin next year, but this news is fresh off the press, so there are still a lot of others questions that we dont have answers to yet, like when will this show actually air? Who is gonna star in it? Will they try and use some of the same cast? or not? Will it be a fresh start or will it pick up where the movie left off?
The short answer is that we don't know, but we wanna hear your thoughts on it. If you were in charge, how would you handle this new television series!
