BTS is finally breaking through the music scene in the states, and fans are PUMPED!
South Korean boy band BTS are joining the lineup at the AMAs on November 19th, and fans could not be more excited. The guys are set to perform their single, “DNA”, from their new album, “Love Yourself”, and while this moment has been a long time coming for the band, it’s amazing that they’ll finally be able show off their skills in the US in a live-performance setting.
The group took to Twitter to share their gratitude and excitement for the AMAs announcement, writing QUOTE, ““We are so excited to be invited to the American Music Awards and to perform on the stage for the first time. All the members are honored to be on the show with other amazing artists, and we’re proud to share this great news with our fans, ARMY.”
BTS’s dedicated fan base, who collectively call themselves ARMY, have taken to Twitter to share their excitement for the news, with one fan writing QUOTE, “2017 belongs to BTS. Their blood sweat & tears paid off this year. They deserve all the love & happiness in the entire world,” while another boasted QUOTE, “bts really broke out of this huge shell that isolates kpop music, and now is the biggest kpop group to perform on an american show”.
And if you’re not sure one AMAs performance will be enough to make BTS a household name in the US, then don’t worry because everyone on the scene is dying to collaborate with them. Desiigner tweeted on November 1st a hint that he’s already collaborating with the guys, and Fifth Harmony has previously gushed about the K-pop group and been vocal about being down to collaborate with them. And after their AMAs performance, we’re sure EVERY singer out there will feel the same.
Okay guys now it’s time for you to let me know how excited YOU are to see BTS at the AMAs--and who do you wanna see them collaborate with next? Let me hear all your thoughts in the comments, and after that click here to check out Taylor’s new song, “Call it What You Want”. Thanks so much for watching News Feed, and be sure to subscribe! I’m your host Erin Robinson and I’ll see you next time!
